To help suppress the spread of the Covid19 virus, we have released guidance on how to safely restart walks. Some activities still remain suspended – including training, social activities and other meetings. These activities have stopped until further notice, subject to further developments.
Our health walks couldn't happen without our volunteers – people like you who spend their time helping us plan, promote, support, encourage and inspire.
There are lots of benefits to volunteering, as well as supporting others to live happier, healthier lives. Volunteering is a great way to boost your CV, develop your skills, grow your confience and meet new people.
As a Walking for Health volunteer you will:
Help people in your community to get active and healthy, providing vital support that they otherwise might not get, while staying active yourself.
Get to know others and become part of our nationwide community of walkers and volunteers.
Receive specialist training and ongoing support as part of a nationally recognised and well respected programme
Develop and strengthen your skills. Learn how to be a great leader, find out more about marketing or enhance your database skills. Have a look at our volunteer roles to find out more.
