Weymouth & Portland Health Walks

About Us

Our friendly and welcoming health walk scheme started on 5th March 2018. We have trained over 42 volunteer walk leaders who are ready and waiting to walk with you, to make sure you have a great time. There will be a chance to stop at the end of each walk for well deserved refreshments so remember to bring some loose change. We are happy to take walkers with Dementia but please make sure that they have a buddy/carer with them. Children are welcome on the walks also but under 18's will need to be accompanied by an adult. These walks are either a slow or medium pace and are designed to get people back into walking again - no walker is ever too slow - and each person will be met with a smile and a friendly 'hello'.
