University of Cumbria Williamson Park Health Walk
About Us
Our local health walks
Our corporate health walks continue on a MONTHLY basis throughout the year, having started several years ago as a campus wellbeing initiative for staff and students. These are on the first THURSDAY of every month, unless notified. They start at 12.10 prompt from the Dalton Building foyer and last 30-40 minutes, covering approximately 1.5-1.75 miles in that time. We take in the scenic Williamson Park, typically using the tarmac paths, but in summer we will use the woodland path trails.
The park is wonderful at any time of year and there are stunning views to the coast, plus marvellous planted beds and trees throughout the park to enjoy.
The walks are typically on tarmac paths with some undulations, which can be challenging. In drier weather, other trails in the park may be used.
These are currently 'closed session' walks, and therefore are not open to the general public.
