Taunton Deane: Walk Well in Wellington

About Us

Walk Well in Wellington is supported by Greenwich Leisure in partnership with Taunton Deane Borough Council, to encourage local people to become more active, more often.

The programme is designed to be an excellent way of improving your health through regular walking in the local community.

Walk Well in Wellington's "sister" scheme, Walk Well in Taunton was established in 2005.  You can view the scheme's webpage on this website.

Our Walk Well schemes have their own dedicated website where ypu can view programmes and other relevant information.  Please visit www.walkwellwithtone.btck.co.uk

The scheme provides three different types of walk for varying levels of stamina.   The shortest walks are 20 - 30 minutes, approx. 1.5 miles in length and are aimed at those people who are new to walking and want to be more active in the company of other people.

We also have walks that take between 40 and 60 minutes and 2-3 miles in length.

Both of the above options take place on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30.

All walks meet at various meeting points in Wellington.  They are graded in terms of difficultly and accesibility.  Some walks are suitable for baby-buggies and some are accessible.  Many of the walks start and finish near a place where walkers can go for refreshment afterwards.

Please contact the Co-ordinator for details of the current programme or download it from this page - on the PDF, you need to scroll down  for the Wellington programme.
