Dorset Fizz Walks
Please note. No walks running until further notice. 04/10/2017
We run walks for families and groups of individuals. Some walks are child-friendly with access for buggies. Walks can be up to an hour although some are shorter. Terrain is suitable for pushing buggies or for small children on foot and for those with health conditions where climbing hills is difficult. We like to have an activity as part of the walk where parents and children can relax and enjoy themselves, have a refreshment break and use toilet or baby change facilities. The group is friendly and welcomes newcomers. Children are their parents responsibility at all times. Occasionally we run walks that aren't suitable for buggies or small children. If this is the case, it will say in the walk info. These additional walks will also have a toilet break and an opportunity for refreshments and socialising as we walk along.

We are a supportive social walking group that wants to get local people out and about walking for fun. We will aim to take a nice route away from roads and traffic wherever possible, with a tea stop and something nice for the kids to do so don’t forget some money for a snack or a low cost activity. We see how everyone feels on the day, and discuss the route as we go. We will go at a pace to suit everyone, and no one will get left behind.
Weather: if there is heavy rain, gale force winds, sleet, snow or ice, or it is extremely hot, please assume that we are not going. If you are uncertain, email Jacky at firstname.lastname@example.org
Problems with transport? If you need help with transport, we have a small budget for help with costs. If we can help, we will. Sometimes we hire a coach to get to a destination, pay for taxi’s or bus or train fares or car share.
For walks, please wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring a bottle of water and a snack. For cycles, we would advise you and the children to wear helmets. Under 16’s must be accompanied by someone responsible for them who is 18 or over. We are happy to bring people together for a social outing, but we cannot take responsibility for you or your family.
If the walk is over lunch-time, please bring a picnic and plenty to drink, especially water.
