Waverley's Walks for Health
Please be aware that the Waverley walks have been suspended until (at least) the 1st September 2020. You can find further updated information on the News section.
We provide free organised walks around Waverley to help you be more active.
Our weekly health walks give you the opportunity to take regular exercise, enjoy your local environment and meet new people. They are led by trained volunteers who walk at the front and back of the group so that everyone can go at their own pace. Designed to improve your health, our walks offer a safe and secure environment in which to walk with friendly and welcoming company.
All you need to do is turn up in comfortable shoes and enjoy the walk!
If you are interested in becoming a Walk Leader please contact Caroline Barriff; on email@example.com to find out when the next training dates will be.

Join our walks every Thursday at 11 am, meet beside the Walks for Health meeting post next to the seat on the path behind the library. This is found opposite the council offices car park (yellow barriers). Walks are normally about 2 miles long, A 90 minute, longer walk is on the first Thursday of each month and includes a pub lunch (bring money). A 60 minute walk will still be availabe. New walkers are advised to try a short walk first. A shorter walk of 30 mins is offered on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Join our walks held every Tuesday, starting at 11 am. Both sets of walks meet at the entrance to the Cranleigh Leisure Centre. Walks are between 2 and 4 miles long, and take from 60 - 90 minutes.
Walks take place three days per week. Every Tuesdays at 2.30 pm we meet at the Haslewey Community Centre in Haslemere,( with a special 30 min walk leaving the first Tuesday of the month at 3pm). Thursday walks leave at 1pm from the High Lane Community Centre, and on Saturdays at 11 am we meet at Haslemere Leisure Centre. All walks are about 2 miles long and take between 40 and 60 minutes. For more details, see the separate entry for Haslemere Walks for Health.
Walks start every Tuesday at 10.30 am, leaving from the Farnham Leisure Centre, Dogflud Lane, Farnham. Walks take in the riverside and the lower parts of Farnham Park, as well as the urban areas of this attractive town. Each week, we offer two walks, the standard walks are approximately 2 miles long and take 40 - 60 minutes, or alternatively join us on a shorter slower walk which lasts about 60 minutes. On the last Tuesday of each month, a longer faster walk is also offered, designed to challenge the fitter walkers who can walk further and faster. Afterwards, join us for a cup of tea or coffee (for which a charge is made). A shorter walk of 30 min or less is offered on the first Tuesday of the month.
On the first Thursday of each month, Godalming Walks for Health substitutes its shorter walks with a longer 5 - 8 mile walk, including lunch at a local pub. Details can be found on our website.
