Slough Healthy Walks
Welcome to Slough’s Healthy Walks. Slough aims to help promote healthy walking and encourage more people (all ages, backgrounds and abilities) to get outdoors, get active and reap the health benefits.
Walks are great for meeting new friends, getting fit, and discovering new places to walk and see in Slough. Walking is a fantastic and effective way of being active, and it can be fitted into everyday life quite easily. They can reduce stress, support you to lose weight, share laughs, make new friends and reduce isolation and loneliness. All the walks are led by trained volunteers, require no special equipment, and are free to join.
We have a number of walks across different areas of Slough. The walks listed here are our short Walking for Health affiliated walks which are: over easy terrain, accessible for everyone and will be less than an hour in duration. Should you wish to walk a little further, do ask for details of the six other slightly longer walks held elsewhere in the town. The scheme is always looking for new routes, and is working with voluntary, community groups to discover Slough's hidden places.
These walks are a fantastic way to improving your wellbeing and also an opportunity to meet other walkers and walk leaders across Slough and surrounding areas.
We would love to see you on one of our walks soon. If you have any concerns or worries about joining a walk, you'd like more information, or you're interested in becoming a walk leader, please contact Slough's Active Communities Team.
