Wirralside Walkers: Age UK Wirral

About Us

Everyone is welcome to come and join our monthly walks around the Wirral. We offer a range of short health walks from 20 mins to longer progression walks up to 4 hours. All walks are led by qualified walk leaders.  Please contact us for further information.

Our Walks

The Mersey Estuary and Two Parks

Date: Monday 6th November 2017

Meeting Point: At the junction of the A41 and Bedford Road (close to Rock Ferry Station and Bus Routes)

Time: 12.45pm for 13.00pm start

Distance: 4/4.5 miles (flat and easy going)

 

Heswall -> Parkgate -> Gayton Hall -> Heswall

Date: Monday 20th November 2017

Meeting Point: At the bus station in Heswall

Time: 12.45pm for 13.00pm start

Distance: 5.5/6 miles (a longer walk with some ascents)

 

Hoylake & Meols Seafront (including Queens Park)

Date: Friday 24th November 2017

Meeting Point: Outside Hoylake Community Centre on Hoyle Road

Time: 10.45am for 11.00am start

Distance: Approximately 60 minutes with 20 minute and 40 minute option

 

West Kirby - Marine Lake - And Out To Red Rocks

Date: Monday 4th December 2017

Meeting Point: At the Railway Station in West Kirby

Time: 12.45pm for 13.00pm start

Distance: About 4 miles with an opportunity to shorten the walk after about 1.5 miles 

 

Central Park, Wallasey

Date: Friday 15th December 2017

Meeting Point: Outside Everyone's Cafe

Time: 10.45am for 11.00am start

Distance: approximately 60 minutes with 20 minutes and 40 minute option

 

Chester City Roman Walls

Date: Monday 18th December 2017

Meeting Point: At Chester City Station 

Time: 12.45pm for 13.00pm start
