Linskill Healthy Walks Community Interest Company

About Us

Linskill Healthy Walks will provide planned, organised Health Walks for the purpose of involving the local community in taking part in healthy exercise to improve their health and fitness levels.

These Health Walks are free to all participants, and we have qualified Walk Leaders who are experienced in leading health walks, who are dedicated towards improving the health and wellbeing of their local community.

We intend to produce a newsletter and provide information about health and well-being in a number of printed and social media formats and circulate them around the community.

We will undertake evaluation that will analyse the efficacy of the physical activities undertaken by people who would not normally participate in exercise regimes and this will provide a valuable resource for statutory bodies such as the health authorities and GP commissioners. This will increase the opportunities for the company to be commissioned to provide these activities free at the point of access via, for example, “health on prescription” schemes such as Taking Part Workshops CIC and care supporting companies like 'Right at Home' who provide care and support at client's own homes.

If you have a disability, disadvantaged in any way or need support to come on a walk you could contact Bethany or Sarah on the link below, who'll be happy to discuss any assistance you may need.
