Redbridge Walking for Health Initiative - London
The walks are suitable for anyone to join and are FREE. They provide a great way for people to get out and about, meet new people and explore some of the beautiful green spaces Redbridge has to offer. Walking is not just a great way to explore the borough but it's a great way to keep active, stay healthy and it's good for physical and mental wellbeing too. So come along and join us on one or more of our walks.
We organise weekly Morning walks every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. In the summer months there are also walks from Hainault Forest Country Park. We even have a Christmas walk with Tea and Mince Pies!
And for those looking for something more specific, we have a recovery walk on the 1st Sunday of every month specfically for those suffering or recovering from long term illness or incativity. These walks are no longer than 30minutes and have plenty of rest stops should you need. As well as this we have our Walk and Talk Together Walks every Thursday 11am from the Gardeners Cottage Cafe (by the Mansion) in Valentines park for people with memory problems and Dementia.
