Lewisham Healthy Walks
All our walk groups are suspended until at least 31st May to help supress the spread of COVID-19
But you can still follow Government guidelines and get a daily walk by yourself or with members of you household.
Get some fresh air - being in nature makes us less stressed.
Be more active - walking is a great way to improve health and well being.
If you are staying indoors, try and find other ways to keep active. There are lots of great ideas and links here:
Free, friendly walks, led by trained volunteer walk leaders in Parks across the borough.
Each walk takes place weekly, unless cancelled due to extreme weather! You can just turn up at the start but for the walks with varied routes we recommend that you contact us before your first walk as the routes vary considerably each week. Please book where indicated.
Lewisham Healthy Walks is managed by GCDA and funded by Lewisham Council. It is part of the Be Inspired Lewisham Programme - you can find out more here https://gcda.coop/lewisham-healthy-walks/

Enjoy walking? Want to get more involved? Why not join our team of volunteer walk leaders - you'll need to attend the Free one day training course where you'll get all the information you need.
If you decide to lead one of our regular walks you'll get support and advice from the scheme co-ordinator and other walk leaders.
Being a walk leader is great fun, you'll meet new people and get fit at the same time!
People of all abilities are able to become walk leaders and we would be interested in hearing from you if you are interested in checking routes for accessibilty.
Please get in touch to find out more and register for our next course
