Get Moving Tendring

About Us

Currently all Ramblers Walking for Health walks are suspended until 31st May 2020

Are you stuck in a rut, bored, depressed or just not getting out enough? Then the Get Moving Walking Group could be for you.  The activity is delivered by Community Voluntary Services Tendring (CVST) as part of the lottery funded Healthier Independent Longer Lives (HILL) project. It is designed to help people lead healthier, more independent and active lives.

There are walks every Friday, Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, and a shorter walk each Wednesday.

The walks on Friday  start  from 11.00am  for 90 minutes, includes a break where possible and a cuppa and chat.

The walks on Sunday start  from 11.00am  and usually end with a coffee and a chat at around 12.30 pm.  All are  free, fun and suitable for all ages and abilities to come along and make new friends. These walks have a different meeting point each week and we return to the same point at the end of the walk.

Every Wednesday there is a 30 minute health walk along Clacton seafront, leaving from Martell Bay near the Lifeboat station and car park. This walk starts at 12 midday and finishes at 12.30 with a return to Martello Bay.Free.
