Easy 1.5mile walks on weekdays. Special walks for festivals and promotional events. FFF has 4 weekly walks In Barrow Borough. All walks have an option of a maximum walk time of 30 minutes for anyone wishing to participate. Any walks that take longer than 90 minutes would be progression walks and do not fall under the Walking for Heatlh programme .

Gentle walks in the Furness area designed to provide a weekly opportunity for exercise for groups of people. All walks have an option of a maximum walk time of 30 minutes for participants. Any walks extending beyond 90 minutes would be progression walks and are not part of the Walking for Health programme.
Walk length about 1.5 miles, time usually 50 minutes with maximum 30 minute option available on all heatlh walks. Starting points are:
Mondays: Dalton Tudor Square 10.30am - walks round the old town (currently suspended)
Tuesdays: Barrow ASDA foyer 10.30am - Channelside walk or Ormsgill Reservoir

Wednesdays: Walney Mill Lane Childrens Centre Cafe 10.30am - Walney Shoreline Walks down to Earnse Point then South along the shore to Sandy Gap and Biggar Bank.
Holker St circular urban walk 12.30pm - from Lakeland House on Abbey Road to junction of Holker St/Abbey Road/Rawlinson St/Buccleuch Street/Duke Street/ Abbey Road and return to Lakeland House
Thursdays: Barrow Park walks - meet Park Lesiure Centre Foyer 10:30am - easy, 30-40 mins, some slopes. With maximum 30 minute option available
Fridays - Walk to Channel side - 11.00am meeting in Lakeland House walking from Abbey Road, along Hindpool Road to North Road onto Channelside Walk through Dock Museum and returnign to Lakeland House.
Trained leaders will meet you on arrival at the starting points. Please arrive about 5 minutes early on the first occasion. Maximum 30 minute option available
