Progression Walks in the

Chesterfield Walk this Way

    Please call the given phone number before going to a walk.

 

              Walking for Health walks: (Short walks in your local area)

       Hasland:

2nd Monday 10am and 4th Thursday 1pm, from Eyre Street East, Baptist Church Hall, Hasland.  Our walks last from 30mins to 90 mins and are followed by a cuppa and a chat. 01246 239897.

       Take Heart:

Sundays 9:30, from a variety of places, short and longer walks available.  Mainly for people with heart related problems. 30 mins to 90 mins. 01246 470718.

 

              Progression Walks: (Generally longer than 90 mins)

                Brampton:

              Fridays 9:30, from St Thomas Church, Chatsworth Road, Brampton.

                Brimington and Tapton:

             Thursdays, 10am, from Manor Rest Centre, Manor Road

             01246 203742, 01246 276878.

               Mastin Moor Wellbeing Walkers:

             Wednesdays 10am, from Mastin Moor Miners Welfare.  1 to 2 hour walks followed by refreshments.  01246 476387.

                 Loundsley Green:

             Alternate Fridays 9:30, short walks 1 to 2 hours.

             From Loundsley Green Community Centre, Cutholme Road.  01246 567184

                Rother:

             Saturdays 11:45, from a variety of places, see programme for starting points. Suitable for people of   reasonable fitness who can walk at a steady pace.  2 hours. 01246 239809.

   Staveley:

Tuesdays from Staveley Church, usually 1pm but can vary, please refer to Walk Programme.  Suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness who can walk at a steady pace. 01246 231109 or 01246 474979 for further details.

   St. Helen’s:

Wednesdays starting at around 10:15 depending on times of buses, from a variety bus stops in Chesterfield, see programme.  Suitable for all with reasonable fitness, usually covering about 4 miles.  Ring Veronica for further details, 01246 237526.

 

*       Up to 30 mins, flat and no obstacles.

    30 mins to 90 mins                                          

                  60 mins to 90 mins.

                    Over 90 mins.
