About Us
Walking for Health is a great way for adults to get back into regular exercise - and it's free! You'll feel better both physically and mentally, and you'll meet new people.
The regular walks last between 30 and 90 minutes on easy terrain and are led by trained walk leaders.

DORA Health Walk
DORA is group who champion those with experience of mental health issues.This walk particularly welcomes those affected by mental health issues.
The group hold a coffeee morning on the first Tues of each month at the Monkey Park cafe and the walk will set off at 12.30 on those days.

BUGGY WALKS
Queens Park Buggy Walk Mondays (Excl Bank Holidays)
Mondays 10.15 for 10.30 start 40 - 50 mins
Meet at reception at Queens Park Sports Centre, Boythorpe Rd, Chesterfield S40 2NE
Buggy walk suitable for parents/carers with pushchairs - 45 min walk round the park and back to the centre café for drinks and chat
COMING SOON:
Starting March 2019: Macmillan Move More walks from the Macmillan Information and Support Centre at the new NGS Macmillan Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
All walks are FREE and with the exception of Buggy Friendly walk are for adults over 16. Babies and children attending Buggy Friendly Walks are the responsibility of the parent or guardian and must be under the supervision of the parent or guardian at all times.

Chesterfield Walk this Way Network is a comprehensive network of mostly longer walks (over 90 minutes) known as Progression Walks in the Chesterfield area. Please see the Walk this Way Flyer fo rmore information.
Our Events
We also have health walks for anyone who has in the past experienced or is currently experiencing mental health issues and would like to join a supportive, understanding group.

NEW FOR SUMMER 2018: SPECIAL INTEREST WALKS
Progression walks suitable for walkers who can manage slopes and uneven ground.
Friends of Spital Cemetery will be leading Cemetery Circular Walks: Themed walks exploring fascinating aspects of the cemetery and local history. Please note: These walks may include some uneven surfaces and walkers should be comfortable walking on slopes as Spital Cemetery is a hillside site. Please ensure you wear suitable clothing/footwear. Walks may be dependent on weather. Contact thefriendsofspitalcemetery@gmail.com to check that the walk is going ahead or for more information about the walk.
