Cronton Pathways Walks For Health
We are a Walking for Health accredited scheme and usually meet on Tuesdays at Holy Family Club, Hall Lane, Cronton at 1p.m.. Walks are usually finished between 2pm and 2.30 pm, but allow time to join us for refreshments afterwards. We offer two health walks each week. One is a short walk which takes at least 30 minutes and the other can be up to 90 minutes. Walks are free and led by Walking for Health trained walk leaders. See full programme for more detail.
As more of our walkers have also recently undergone the Health Walk Leader training we now have 14 active qualified Health Walk Leaders, enabling the continuity of our walks. We are really grateful to all those people who keep things 'running' from week to week.
Our group has been asked to complete the training of Walks for Health trainees from elsewhere by accommodating the trainees in shadowing and then leading a walk. They are then able to lead walks in their own areas. This is a great compliment to Cronton Pathways Walks for Health.

Our walks cover the local rural area of Knowsley mainly, but occasionally we move further afield into the residential area of Halton (Upton Grange) when footpaths become impassable due to wet weather.
From June, 2013 we have been providing series' of 10 sessions of chair-based exercise available for those who wish to give it a try. These are provided by Knowsley IKAN Service. They take place on Mondays from 1.30p.m. until 2.30p.m. at Holy Family Club, Hall Lane, Cronton.
