Walking for Health schemes are committed to helping more people get active and providing a warm welcome for new walkers.
You’re the experts at providing short health walks for your local communities, however, this doesn’t mean you’re able to provide specialist care, supervision or support for children and for those who are unable to care independently for themselves, who want to join your walks.
To help you and your volunteers to make sure everyone enjoys their walk we’ve developed some safeguarding guidance. This guidance is also there to help your walkers to ensure they choose walks that are suitable for them, or any children or people they care for. Find out more here and get in touch with us if you have any queries.
