July is here and summer is in full swing! We have been going to and talking with coordinators in Bristol, Greenwich, Lewisham, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Cumbria, Salford, Manchester, Shrewsbury, Burton, Blackburn, Cheshire, South Staffordshire, Leeds and Durham as well as a 100 strong walk in Trafford - a Walking for Health record? Scheme Zone Update 

Continuing from our update last month, we have been working on updating all of the resources. You can also find the up to date Scheme Proposition document.

Mental Health Awareness 

Following the Get Set Go programme, mental health charity Mind have developed a training opportunity for people working in sport and physical activity. The training is a practical workshop that covers; common misconceptions, the positive impact of physical activity and identifying practical actions. 

Training opportunities are being scheduled and rolled out, please check the website to find training near you.


This summer Team GB is bringing fantastic sporting volunteers (Games Makers) and the national celebration of sport (I Am Team GB) together. I Am Team GB is returning and aiming to continue to inspire more people to be active. It will culminate every August Bank Holiday with the Nation’s Biggest Sports Day and will celebrate the important role that volunteers play in helping more people to be active in their communities.
