The Ramblers is Britain’s leading walking charity helping everyone across the country enjoy walking, for health, pleasure and happiness, whether they are just starting out or already an enthusiast. We do this by promoting walking and working to protect and improve the places where people walk.
We believe walking makes a significant and important contribution to the health and well-being of the nation and offers a more sustainable way of life. We run a range of projects aimed at encouraging inactive people to start walking and Walking for Health is central to that work. We also have around 550 local groups
who offer over 45,000 led walks a year across England, Scotland and Wales, ranging from urban strolls to country hikes.
The Ramblers are dedicated to ensuring that everyone can enjoy walking everywhere, and so we work hard to keep the footpath network clear, secure better access to open land and the coast, and protect the outdoor environment.
For all things walking, look no further than the Ramblers. Find out more about us and our work at: www.ramblers.org.uk
