Rushbury: Apedale Amblers

Region: West Midlands
Last updated: 10, June 2011

We are a group of walkers mainly from the four parishes of Apedale (Rushbury, Hope Bowdler, Eaton and Cardington).

Our aim is to encourage people to explore and appreciate the local area, especially those who might not think of joining an organised walk but would enjoy some company. We welcome all ages, abilities and visitors to the area. Walk leaders vary the routes and adjust the pace of walking to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for all. We recommend stout footwear; paths and fields can become muddy at times.

We always meet at Rushbury Village Hall and share transport.

Our walks

Weekly Walks Meet every Tuesday at Rushbury Village Hall at 9.45am. Walks last about 1 hour. We try to avoid steep gradients.

Monthly Walks Meet 2nd Sunday in the month at Rushbury Village Hall at 1.30pm. These walks are more challenging and last approx. 1 hour 45 minutes.
