Rugby Community Walks

Region: West Midlands
Last updated: 14, October 2011

Rugby Community Walks are run and co-coordinated by Rugby Borough Council and take place both weekly and monthly from a variety of different locations within the borough. The walks vary in length from 25 to 90 minutes, and take place on good surfaces within the town of Rugby and rural parts of the borough.

Don't worry if you don't feel that you can walk far or fast - the walk will be tailored to suit you, whatever your level of fitness.

The walks are free of charge and led by friendly and helpful walk leaders to ensure the walks are always of a high standard. Many of our walks often start and end from either a café or a public house so you can relax with a drink after the end of each walk. Calling volunteers!
If you are enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy walking and talking to people, we would love to hear from you - we are looking for volunteer walk leaders to join the scheme.

For any more information on all the current walks, or on how to become a walk leader, please see the contact details in column on right.

More information on the benefits of an active lifestyle, and details of the Council's walking and cycling leaflets, can be found on the Council's website on www.rugby.gov.uk by clicking on "Leisure and Culture" and then "Sports" and "Active Lifestyles".
