Market Drayton Walking for Health



Walks are graded as Strollers (level 1), Steppers (level 2), and Striders (level 3).
♥ Strollers - Gentle pace, few or no gradients, easy terrain up to 1 hr.
♥♥ Steppers - Moderate pace, possible gradients, varying terrain, up to 90 mins or brisk pace up to 1 hr.
♥♥♥ Striders - Reasonably demanding off road walks. Some challenging terrain. Up to 2hrs
Walking in a group is a great way to start walking and to stay motivated. You’ll make friends and discover new places to walk in your neighbourhood as well as improving your health and fitness.
All walks are lead by qualified walk leaders who will endeavour to provide a suitable walk for all abilities.
All walks are free. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes.

You will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire before your first health walk. If you are unsure of your fitness please consult your GP or Health Care Professional.
Our walks
Walks are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday each month.

Time - 1pm (1st & 3rd Wednesday each month)

Volunteer Walk Leader Training Course
The Next Volunteer Walk Leader training course will be held at the Lantern in Shrewsbury on Monday 2nd April 2012. If you would like to attend please down load the attached VWL training course application form and email to walkingforhealth@shropshire.gov.uk or contact the Walking for Health team on 01743 255059
