Hixon Walking Group

Hixon Walk and talk is part of the larger Stafford Borough WalkWise Walking for Health programme that has a number of walks each week at various locations across Stafford Borough. A full walks programme can be downloaded at www.staffordhealth.co.uk
Our walks
Hixon Walk and Talk meets once a month to walk in and around Hixon parish. Occasionally, the group will travel further afield to take advantage of local walking events. The walks usually last about 90 minutes but are at a leisurely pace, suitable for more mature walkers.
In summer 2011 we have three walks planned:
Wednesday 13th July at 6.00 pm; Sunday 14th August at 10.30 am and Sunday 25th September at 10.30 am.
All walks start at Hixon Memorial Hall, Hixon, ST18 0QF.
New walkers can be assured of a warm welcome from this friendly and lively group of walkers.
Enquiries about led walks to Kim Squires, Walking for Health Coordinator, Stafford Borough Council 01785 619686
Also available from local retail premises and pubs is a self-guided walks pack containing 6 local health walks of varying difficulty. One is specially designed for wheelchairs.
