Ellesmere: Mere Ambles - Walking for Health



Come along and join the Mere Ambles walking for Health Group who provide regular health walks in the Ellesmere area. Walks are graded as:
♥ Level 1 - Gentle short stroll lasting approx 30 mins. These walks are on level, well maintained footpaths and are stile free. Level 1 walks take place every other week
♥♥ Level 2 - One hour walks. One hour walks do not involve stiles but may include steps and gentle slopes. Routes can sometimes be muddy, so please wear suitable footwear.
♥♥♥ Level 2 - Up to 2 hours for the more adventurous (routes may include slopes and stiles).

All walks are lead by qualified walk leaders who will endeavour to provide a suitable walk for all abilities.
! IMPORTANT DETAILS !
You will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire before your first health walk. If you are unsure of your fitness please consult your GP or Health Care Professional.
Walking shoes or boots are essential for the longer walks.

When: Every Wednesday
TIME: 10:00 am
Venue: Canal Wharf, Wharf Road Ellesmere
A 30 min walk is held every other week
A 1 hr walk is held every week (suitable for all abilities).
An additional 2 hr walk is held every other week.

Volunteer Walk Leader Training Course
The Next Volunteer Walk Leader training course will be held at the Lantern in Shrewsbury on Monday 2nd April 2012. If you would like to attend please down load the attached VWL training course application form and email to walkingforhealth@shropshire.gov.uk or contact the Walking for Health team on 01743 255059
