Tamar Valley Walk and Talk

Tamar Valley Walk & Talk is a weekly health walking group for the communities living in and around the Tamar Valley AONB with a network of local, trained volunteer walk leaders. We have weekly risk assessed health walks in a variety of locations, led by staff and volunteers from the AONB and Cornwall Council. Walk leader training is being provided for new volunteer leaders from within the community.
Our walks
Wednesday morning walks, open to all, but mainly of level 1 and 2. We are promoting the walks to local communities and the wider community in the city of Plymouth, as well as specific community groups.
Walks often use the local public transport network (rail, bus and ferry) to provide a greater variety of suitable health walk routes in the AONB area.
The AONB offers a number of safe and newly developed off road trails through the mining heritage area.
