Poole Healthy Walks

A number of different walks are on offer across the Borough of Poole. Currently walks of up to 3km are being led every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Walks are run from numerous locations and are all set at an easy or easy to moderate level. All walks are led by experienced trained volunteer Walk Leaders and offer a great social opportunity to keep fit and have fun!


Our walks

Every Tuesday: Trail Blazer 10.30am start. A 1 hour walk along the Broadstone Trailway and into Delph Woods. This is a circular walk that is suitable for beginners of reasonable good health. Meeting Point by gateway to the Castleman Trail in the car park next to Broadstone Leisure Centre.

Every Thursday: Poole Park 10.00am start. 2km exercise trail - A circular walk around Poole Park Lake taking in the scenary with a chance to try out the outdoor fitness equipment. Meeting Point outside the entrance to Central Park Cafe (near to the minature railway).

Every Friday: Upton Country Park 12.00pm start. A 2/3km lunchtime walk around the park taking in some of the fantastic scenery over looking Poole Town and Holes Bay. Meeting Point in the main car park opposite the bus shelter.

 

Saturday Walks - all start at 10.00am

1st Saturday of the month Poole Park. Meet outside Swan cafe. Walk Level - easy 2km.


2nd Saturday of the month Upton Country Park. Meet in car park. Walk Level - easy to moderate 2-3km.


3rd Saturday of the month Baiter. Meet outside Poole pottery shop. Walk Level - easy to moderate 2-3km.


4th Saturday of the month Broadstone. Meet in car park next to leisure centre. Walk Level - easy to moderate 2-3km.


5th Saturday of the month Poole Park. Meet outside Swan cafe. Walk Level - easy 2km.

These walks are supported by Leisure services and Poole Primary Care TrustAll walks are FREE and are suitable for people of all ages and ability. They will go ahead in all weather conditions. All walkers are advised to wear the appropriate clothing and footwear.For further information, please use the contact details in the column on the right.
