Mendip: Health Walks in Mendip

Mendip Health Walks are supported by Tone, a social enterprise and charitable leisure trust. The walks are devised and led by volunteers from the local community who have undertaken Volunteer Walk Leader Training. Tone provides a support function to the scheme and its volunteer leaders; povides training to new volunteers and is working to set-up walks in areas of Mendip where there are currently no regular health walks.
Our walks
Health walks are currently taking place in Street and Glastonbury, Frome and Wells.
Walks range from 1 hour to 1.5 hours using public footpaths and are aimed at those who currently do little or no physical activity and would like to get a bit fitter and healthier through walking in the company of others.
A programme can be downloaded from this page or you can contact Melissa McCarthy, Scheme Co-ordinator on 01823 273084.
