Oxford Health Walks - Blackbird Leys OX4 6JL
Do you enjoy walking and meeting new people, or are you considering starting some gentle exercise? Join us for a walk around Blackbird Leys.
The route around Blackbird Leys includes a walk through Spindleberry Nature Park.
The walk is suitable for beginners, with a distance of 1 mile and will be taken at a pace suitable for everyone.
The walks provide an opportunity for people who enjoy walking to walk in a group and meet new people. In addition, the walks aim to provide those that are new to exercise, the opportunity to get involved in an activity that is taken at a gentle pace in a friendly environment.
Anyone is welcome regardless of age or ability. We do ask that young children are accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed.
Walks leave promptly so please arrive on time.
Walks will not go ahead if there is heavy rainfall, snow or ice!
Our walks
The walk will start and finish at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre at 2pm on Sundays (commencing Sunday 21st November 2010). All walks will be led by qualified health walk leaders to ensure your safety and you will be required to complete a short questionnaire on your first walk.
