Medway Health Walks

Medway Health Walks are short, social walks that are led by Volunteer Walk Leaders. They are organised to support people to get the most enjoyment out of walking and also provide a safe and social environment. All our walks are graded from 1 a gently walk to 3 a longer walk, rougher terrain and might include a hill. Also look for the heart sign, these walks are suitable for people who have attended cardiac rehabilitation. Walking is a gently low inpact form of exercise and suitable for all ages and abilities but if you have a concern please contact your Doctor.
All walks are free and led by Medway Health Walk Volunteers who would be happy to hear from you. It is advisable although not necessary to ring the leader prior to joining the walk for the first time. They can then keep a special eye out for you and introduce you to a walk buddy if needed.
Walking is also a cheap way to exercise. All that is needed is a comfortable pair of shoes and suitable clothing. .
When attending a walk for the first time you will be issued with a Walking Passport which will be signed everytime you attend a walk. It does not have to be the same walk. After 5 walks you will be given a draw string back, 10 a water bottle 15 a pen and after 20 walks a pedometer. And remember all our walks are free of chage.
