Eastleigh Borough Healthwalks Scheme

Region: South East
Last updated: 26, March 2012

Regular walking can help prevent Heart disease, Obesity, High Blood Pressure, Osteoporosis and Diabetes.

The walks take about 1 hour and and are a great way to  socialise and get some exercise. Everyone is welcome. The walks are led by a qualified Volunteer Walk Leader and take place rain or shine! Most of our walks offer 2 routes, one covering 3 miles in the hour and the other at a more sedate pace covering 2 miles in the hour. The latter aimed at new walkers and those recovering from illness.

Our scheme now has over 12,000 walkers attending per year.

We vary our walks from each destination.

Our walks

With 10 walks taking part in 5 days and over 230 people taking part every week, the walks are becoming more and more popular, so we are always looking for more leaders. If you can spare some time and enjoy walking then please give us a call as we would love to hear from you. It does not have to be a commitment every week, just whenever you can is helpful!
