Abingdon Health Walks

We offer 6 health walks a week.
Our walks
The Abingdon Health Walks scheme offers three walks every Monday morning and three walks every Wednesday morning. On both mornings there is a Gentle walk, a Moderate walk and a Brisk walk. These walks are approximately one hour in duration. On the first Wednesday of the month and the third Monday of the month the Brisk walk is longer, approximately one and a half hours long.
All walks start and finish inside the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, Audlett Drive, Abingdon, OX14 3PJ. They always leave at 10.30.am. Cafe and toilet facilities are available in the leisure centre.
The Gentle walk is between 2 and 2.5 miles long and the route is mainly flat and easy and has no steps or stiles. This walk is designed for people who do little or no exercise. Shorter loops are available if needed.
The Moderate walk is approximately 3 miles long and is taken at average walking pace. The walk is designed for walkers to achieve or maintain reasonable fitness levels.
The Brisk walk is between 3 and 4 miles long and is designed for people who want or need to stretch themselves a little more and progress their fitness. The longer walk is approximately 5 miles long.
