Walking is a relaxing and enjoyable way to keep healthy and, as it requires no equipment or expense, is the perfect way to exercise.

Walking can benefit many forms of health and fitness:

  • Promotes health and well being
  • Increases energy for everyday tasks
  • Helps maintain healthy bones, muscles, and joints
  • Helps to lower the risk of cardio vascular disease
  • A great way to socialise and meet new friends

Our walks

Moor Park walk and bowls

Day  - Wednesday

Time - 11:00 - 12:00 am (health walk)
         12:30 - 13:15 pm (bowls)

Venue - Bowling Green Pavilion, Moor Park
            Preston
            PR1 6AS

Refreshments are served free of charge at the end of the walk at the Pavilion. After the walk you can also participate in a bowls session on the bowling greens in front of the pavilion.

Avenham Park walk

Day - Friday

Time - 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

Venue - The Pavilion on Avenham Park
            Preston
            PR1 8JP


For all of the walks suitable clothing is needed in accordance to the weather conditions and flat comfortable footwear.
