Hyndburn: Stepping Out

Our walks
The Stepping Out Project now has eight walks a week in Hyndburn. These range from a ½ hour walk to a 2 hour walk. All our walks are free, and are open to all ages and abilities. However we would ask all new walkers to start by walking with us on our shorter, slower paced walks unless they are extremely confident in their own fitness levels. For our led walk programme, please contact us.
All our walks are led by trained Volunteer Walk Leaders. Training involves a free one day course accredited by Walking for Health. Walk Leaders are involved with the leading, planning and risk assessing of our walks. It’s a great way to stay fit and healthy and explore Hyndburn. We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you are interested please contact us.
We also have 3 independent walking packs available, which include a series of self-guided interconnecting walks across various areas of Hyndburn. Pack 1 covers Rishton, Clayton le Moors and Church. Pack 2 covers Oswaldtwistle, Spring Hill and Accrington Central. Pack 3 covers Huncoat, Barnfield and Baxenden. For a pack please contact us.
For any more details, questions or queries please get in touch with the contact person on the right. Thanks.
