Chorley - Find your Feet

Find your Feet is a health walk scheme based in the borough of Chorley in Lancashire. The scheme is coordinated by Chorley Council.

Walks are led by Chorley Council Rangers and Find your Feet volunteer walk leaders

All walks are free of charge and there is no need to book, just come along on the day.

** We are launching 2 new walks in the New Year 2012 in Croston and at Yarrow Valley Country Park in Chorley**


Our walks

Every Monday - Tatton Canal Walk, Chorley

Meet at Tatton Community Centre, off Silverdale Road, Chorley at 1.00pm for a walk along the Leeds Liverpool Canal Towpath. Rest/Refreshment stop on route, return around 2.30pm - 3.00pm. Please note, this walk is longer than the other walks in our scheme and people who are new to health walks are advised to attend the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Walks first, before progressing to the Tatton Canal Walk.

Every Tuesday - Adlington Walk

Meet at the entrance to Jubilee Rec on Park Road at 10.00am for a walk along the Leeds Liverpool towpath and surrounding Adlington countryside. Return around 11.00am. Join fellow walkers for represhments after the walk. Suitable for all abilities

Every Wednesday  - Astley Park, Chorley

Meet outside Astley Hall, the grade 1 listed historic house in Astley Park, Chorley at 10.30am for a walk in the park. Return at around 11.30am. Join fellow health walkers for refreshments in Astley's Cafe Ambio after the walk. Suitable for all abilities.

**New -  starting 11 January 2012 ** Every Wednesday  - Croston

Meet at 10.45am on the Car Park on Out Lane (next to the Doctor's Surgery)  for walk around the historic village of Croston and surrounding farmland. Return around 11.45am. Join walkers for refreshments after the walk. Suitable for all abilities.

Every Thursday - Yarrow Valley Country Park

Meet at the Yarrow Valley Visitor Centre off Birkacre Road, Chorley at 10.00am for a walk in the Green Flag award winning Country Park. Return for 11.00am. Join fellow health walkers for refreshments in the Visitor Centre after the walk. Suitable for all abilities.

** New - starting 14 January 2012 **  Every Saturday afternoon - Yarrow Valley Country Park

Meet at the Yarrow Valley Visitor Centre off Birkacre Road, Chorley at 2.00pm  for a walk in the Green Flag award winning Country Park. Return for 3.00pm . Join fellow health walkers for refreshments in the Visitor Centre after the walk. Suitable for all abilities.
