Kettering Health Walks
Kettering Health Walks schemes has two programmes of regular walks running:
Programme 1 has weekly walks with a set starting point. These walks are on footpaths and pavements suitable for pushchairs/wheelchair users and those looking to get started in walking: they are a great way of making new friends whilst exploring the lovely green spaces right on our doorsteps. Average length: 45-60 minutes/2miles.
Walks are on:
10am - Meet at Burton Latimer Library, Burton Latimer
10am - Weekly Woods/Kettering Holiday Inn Car Park
10am - Desborough Leisure Centre, Desborough
12.30pm - London Road car park, Kettering
Vicky Bowden is the main contact for queries on these walks: Vicky.Bowden@groundwork.org.uk or 01536 521555.
Programme 2 walks run on a Thursday morning on a fortnightly basis, meeting at 10.30am at different locations for a country walk. These popular walks are often over uneven and muddy terrain and usually last around 90 minutes, with a monthly shorter 30 - 60 minutes also available. Walkers usually meet at a pub car park and end back at the pub for a lunch if walkers would like. Please see the 'Kettering Health Walks' leaflet attached in the downloads section on the right of this page for more details. The health and wellbeing officer at Kettering Borough Council is the main contact for queries on this walk, email address is email@example.com
