Healthy Harborough Walks
Active Together is a countywide programme that aims to encourage all residents to become more active more often to benefit their health.
There are Physical Activity Development Officers across Leicestershire (based at the Local Authorities) who are here to help you become more active. Each district has a programme of regular activities, including walking.

The Walking for Health Scheme in Harborough - named Healthy Harborough Walks - has been running for 10 years in the district. There are 4 weekly, led walks throughout the District of Harborough. All are under 2 miles, and are buggy friendly. The walks are led by trained volunteer walk leaders and all ages & abilities are welcome.
Please note the Monday walks from Welland Park are TERM TIME ONLY.
The walks go ahead whatever the weather. Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead. All walks finish with an opportunity for refreshments and a chat, so dont forget your change for your hot drink!
There is no need to book onto any of our walks, please just turn up.
12pm - Market Harborough Welland Park Cafe (maximum duration 60 mins). A different route will be planned each time on hardstanding ground. Please wear appropriate clothing. The group stay on following the walk for a hot drink and a chat after the walk at a local Cafe (TERM TIME ONLY).
1.30pm - Meeting to the rear of The Shambles Public House, Lutterworth (maximum duration 60 mins). Generally, we walk across even and clean pathways, however on some occasions we will be walking over rougher terrain so please ensure you wear sturdy footwear, particularly in wet weather.
10:15am - Market Harborough Welland Park Cafe (maximum duration 60 mins)
1.30pm - Broughton Astley, Meeting at the Library (maximum duration 60 mins). On occasion, the walk may go over muddy and sloped ground, so please ensure that you are wearing correct footwear and clothing.
