Amended Walking for Health logo now available

Walking for Health graphic with WfH, Ramblers and Macmillan Cancer Support logos and strapline.

A new graphic bringing together the Walking for Health, Ramblers and Macmillan logos is now available for use by schemes.

The Ramblers and Macmillan have produced a new graphic that brings together the existing Walking for Health logo with the Ramblers and Macmillan logos and a short statement about the partnership.

This graphic is available for use by recognised Walking for Health schemes on their programmes, websites and other publicity materials. You can download it in a variety of formats along with some more information about how to use it.

We are gradually adding this graphic to existing materials. However this will take some time to complete so please continue to use Natural England-branded materials if these are the only ones available.

The new graphic is an interim solution while we understand the existing Walking for Health brand and its strengths and limitations.  A refresh of this will be rolled out in the next six months and we will keep you updated on progress.

Logo issues

Hello John and thanks for your comment. We'll look into whether we can make the WfH logo available on its own as well, but if people want to use the Ramblers and Macmillan logos -- which we know some of them do -- they do need to be used together with the text at a size that's big enough to be legible. It's not compulsory so long as Natural England logos are removed. Note this is only a temporary measure and we'll be producing some more flexible branding further down the line.

Cannot read the writing

The old logo was typically used to represent the WfH scheme, and it worked at sizes down to 80 pixels. The requirements for using this new logo are that the size must be enough to allow the writing to be legible - which means the smallest it will go is about 400 pixels - even the sample above is difficult to read.

This means either people will use it with the text illegible or not bother changing it at all.
